Bette's Box of Blessings - Prayerful Living
FairHope Notes
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12 (ESV)
Paul is telling us to keep a joyful, positive attitude with a confident expectation of God’s future glory and promises. And to be patient when things don’t go our way, to endure and persevere when facing trouble or suffering. How do we do that? By being in constant communication with the One who loves us the most.
This month’s Box of Blessingsis designed to help you do just that and focus on what’s truly important, despite all the noise around you. Let’s take a look at this month’s blessings:
Less rush. Less noise. Less chasing. More of what matters most. That’s how Emily Ley describes her book, “When Less Becomes More.”From personal experience, Emily gives us practical ways to trade what she calls “life’s junk food” for “real nourishment.” Throughout the book Emily gives us opportunities to apply what we learned with thought provoking questions. She even gives us ideas for how to continue the journey to less.
In “Prayerful Living - Devotions to Encourage a Woman’s Heart,” Hilary Bernstein tells us that “a beautiful life is a prayerful life.”She provides more than 200 devotions, each starting with a Scripture verse and finishing with a prayer, that will encourage you to quiet your heart and spend quality one-on-one time with your heavenly Creator. Each page of this lovely devotional has calming colors, and it even comes with a ribbon bookmark.
God tells us in His Word that as His children, we are made in His image. Made in His Image tote bag. It’s large enough to carry all sorts of things…even your groceries!
Made in His Image Accessory Pouch. With a zipper and a soft lining on the inside, you’ll feel comfortable putting just about anything of value in it!
Made in His Image Traveler Journal. You can use it to record those moments when you feel the Father is close, or when He quietly encouraged you when no one was looking.
Twelve Christian greeting cards. Just slowing down to write a few words to someone who is struggling could be an encouragement that changes a life.
So, the next time the hectic, chaotic pressures of life start to get to you, remember our theme verse: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
